Armin Pfirmann (degree in business administration)

Tax Consultant, Managing Partner

After studying business administration, Armin worked as a research assistant at the Chair of General Business Administration, esp. business taxation, under Prof. G. Wöhe at Saarland University.

After joining an internationally active consulting firm in 1993, he became head of the tax department at its Saarbrücken office. Armin has been a managing partner and head of the tax department at Dr. Dornbach & Partner GmbH, Coblenz, since 1 May 2002 and has been in charge of the Saarbrücken office since 1 January 2003.

Besides providing small and medium-sized family businesses with advice on national and international tax, management and accounting issues, his main consulting areas include estate succession and corporate succession, national and international corporate transactions, and company restructuring.

Armin is also a lecturer for the Chair of General Business Administration, esp. business taxation (Prof. Heinz Kußmaul), at Saarland University, and for the Chair of General Business Administration, esp. public auditing (Prof. Karlheinz Küting, successor Prof. Michael Olbrich), at Saarland University.

In addition, Armin helped to write the annotations for Sections 324 and 324a HGB (German Commercial Code) in "Handbuch der Rechnungslegung - Einzelabschluss. Kommentar zur Bilanzierung und Prüfung" (Handbook of Accounting - Unconsolidated Financial Statements. Commentary on Financial Reporting and Auditing) by Küting/Pfizer/Weber (ed.).
