Dr. René Schäfer

Tax Consultant, Specialist Consultant for International Tax Law, Managing Partner

René gained his degree in business administration from Saarland University, Saarbrücken, in 1999. His course included a study year in Lyon, France, where he obtained the "Ecole Supérieure de Commerce" diploma.

In 2003, he completed his PhD at the Chair of General Business Administration, esp. business taxation, under Prof. Heinz Kußmaul, on the subject of "Taxation of a German-French company". René passed the professional examination for tax consultants in 2005. Since 2008, he has also held the title "Fachberater für Internationales Steuerrecht" (Specialist Consultant for International Tax Law).

René began working in the tax department of Dr. Dornbach & Partner GmbH's Saarbrücken office mid-way through February 2005. He was appointed public officer in July 2007 and was made a partner on 1 January 2011.
